Pitch Party

What change can you lead? What community-centered project ideas do you want to launch? On Nov 9th the Changemaker event will host a Pitch Party session where after some training you have 1 minute to present a project idea in front of our judges for a chance to receive up to a $100 honorarium to help get you started on your idea! Changemaking projects include any community-oriented idea that promotes positive change.

The Pitch Party is a low-stakes opportunity to participate in creating positive change and engage with the community around you. This session is here to encourage you to present your idea, however small and receive feedback. We do not expect it to be perfect but instead for you to take your first step towards making a difference!

Previous Pitch Party winners used their $100 to….

- Create a 10,000 crane project to bridge the UBC campus and Vancouver community

- Launch a socially engaging rooftop space at a student residence

So, what’s your pitch?
